SUPPORTING THE ENVIRONMENT
In adherence to IVECO’s and the FIAT Group’s Environmental Policies, ASTRA recognises that the compatibility of its processes and products with the environment is vital so as to:
ASTRA’s aims for objectives and practices that, as well as fully satisfying all statutory requirements tend, through the involvement of its staff, suppliers and clients, towards a constant improvement of the environmental performance of each of the Company's activities making this a basic premise and guiding principle in the Company's management. All our staff’s awareness and sense of responsibility towards the environment is enhanced by continuous training and information.
When new production processes or new products are introduced, ASTRA adopts all measures available to assess the environmental impact as completely as possible.
ASTRA introduces and implements specific procedures to assess compliance with environmental policies through controls that identify in advance any indication of a tendency to produce negative environmental effects in general; moreover, ASTRA also implements other measures necessary for the containment of any accidental spillages of hazardous materials.
